Outside my window... a cool, rainy day.
I am hearing... a movie that Andrew is watching. He is having daily afternoon rest periods on the couch. We are both cuddled up under blankets.
I am thinking ... about the current health trial of Lymes that Andrew is being treated for.
I am thankful for ...
- Discovering the Lymes rash within the first week and for the prompt treatment that was started.
- a long over-do lunch with a precious friend.
- my husband being home for 5 days, beginning tomorrow.
- my friend Denise who was promoted to Heaven after her battle with cancer ended over a week ago. I'll miss her so dearly but am comforted to know that I will see her again.
In the kitchen... Pretty basic meals right now. We are cutting out most sugar, dairy and gluten to help Andrew as he heals. Because Lyme's is an inflamatory disease, eating foods that are anti-inflamatory is best for healing.
I am wearing... my work out pants, an orange t-shirt and socks - and a warm fleece blanket on top. :)
I am creating... No crafting at the moment. I am creating new summer school routines as we'll be schooling through the summer.
I am going... to stay snuggled up in my
home today.
I am re-reading... A Love that Multiplies
I am hoping... that I wont be sore after walking an hour on the treadmill this morning. :)

I am looking forward to... Bible study here at my home tomorrow morning. We are halfway through the Beth Moore Breaking Free study.
Around the house... lots of construction going on. Since I've last blogged we've begun to slowly replace our old log home and windows into a newly framed, vinyl sided home.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Bible study, and lots of family time.
A few picture I'm sharing.. Lots of pictures to share. :)
Andrew made the Greece flag from lego's
Learning about the food chain for our science study.
Chloe had 4 kittens on May 3rd. It has been so fun to watch her and the kittens.
A new addition to our family. This is Lizzy, a 3.7 pound minature yorkie. She is a 1.5 years old and needed a new forever home. She has been such a joy to have and is full of personality. Don't tell her she's a yorkie though because she doesn't know she's little. She thinks she's as big as a German Shepherd.
Kitchen wall coming out.
There's a whole in my house!
My precious friend Denise. She and I walked together for years. Now she's walking on streets of gold! Love and miss you, Denise!
Oh Theresa...your friend is now with Our Lord! But it is sad for us that stay behind... Thank you for stopping by the cottage. Grace & Peace dear one. m.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Maria. I trust you are healing well from your surgery and prayers are going up on your behalf tonight.
DeleteI've been checking in from time to time...it's fun to read your updates :) Lego flag -- what a great idea! Yesterday was a great day to snuggle up and do inside things, wasn't it? The Lord bless you as you juggle all the home things and think of your dear friend Denise. With love....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you still stop in to visit here. :) Lots of new learning happening in regards to Lymes. Andrew had another two bites and one of those turned into another bullseye rash. We documented it with pictures each day. We made an appointment to see a Lymes doctor in the cities next week and Andrew is on a double protocol of two different antibiotics for 6 weeks and lots of other "new" guidelines that we must follow. The hardest is to stay out of the sun. I feel so horrible for him because it is finally nice and he wants to be out so badly. It is a good learning time for both of us and a good teaching time in learning to surrender to the Lord our disappoints and frustrations. Prayers are appreciated
